Accompanied by a big band he ventures to interpret well-known swing classics. With his characteristic voice he sings the jazzy songs like he never done something else. Classic compositions like “My Funny Valentine” and “I Get a Kick Out of You” got an energetic overlay from the big bang sound. Herman knew how to translate these influential pieces to the era in which he recorded the songs. Even his own big hit “Saturday Night” got the swing treatment it deserves.
